This felt like a very lackluster ending to me. I really enjoyed the beginning of the series, it felt adventurous and addictive. The last few have felt a bit scattered. And this one didn’t even feel like a “last book in the series” for a majority of it. Especially with the addition of new characters. Maybe we’ll get more but I really wanted more or something different from this.
From beginning to end, I loved this series. We waited a long time for the last installment, and it didn't disappoint. Readers witness an epic journey of space, time, and character that concludes with a call to action, not just for the characters in the book but for us as well. Themes like vulnerability and strength, leadership and power, family and loyalty make this a sweepingly brilliant series. This will always be on the short list of recommended reading.
It was like the end of an era. Saying goodbye to a cast of characters I grew up reading. I've been waiting on this book for 6 years now, it was everything I could hope for and so much more. I had 15 pages and was already crying. I devoured every page but also made sure to look at all the details. That way I didn't miss anything. Do I wish there were more books in this series? Absolutely but I'm also happy with where he left it. I will always love rereading this series even though I can't ever experience reading it again for the first time.

A lovely and epic end to the series. This is my niece and nephew’s favorite and I can see why. The artwork is incredible and the adventure and suspense will have kids excited for more. All with some really great lessons sprinkled throughout.
