A really good ending to the series, but a bit rushed and emotionally unfulfilling.
adventurous emotional hopeful fast-paced

A little too fast of a resolution with too much of the book focusing on an epilogue.  However the series is well worth the read.

This is the last book in the series -- the art is beautiful, as always, but the plot lines can get somewhat convoluted at times (particularly if you have not read the rest of the series or not brushed up on the past storylines)

3.5
adventurous slow-paced

I first started reading this series around when the 3rd or 4th book was released back when I was 7 or 8 years old. At the time I absolutely loved this series and considered it a favourite. And while I still greatly enjoy the series the long waited ending was honestly a bit of a let down.

I enjoyed most of this volume but the last 20 or so pages just weren’t it. I know what was trying to be done with them but I’ve never been a fan of that. And I will admit that a few things that happened I wasn’t fond of and felt like it was written in to end this quickly. Tbh this should probably be a 3 star but it’s been a bit of time since I read the previous volumes so it didn’t bother me as much as I think it would otherwise.
