I loved this sweet & sexy novella. Super cute & low angst meet cute romance. Weatherspoon’s ability to evoke those “just starting out flutters” was perfect. Andre & Janelle are both out of breakups and decide a dog is the best way to go for companionship. Unfortunately, the shelter has promised Zeus to both of them - so the answer is coparenting. Fun fur baby adventures turn into more for this couple.

Narration:
This was my first time listening to either Marissa Hampton or Chinua Hawk and I enjoyed them both. Great matches for Weatherspoon’s style and characters. Delightful listen.

Okay SOOOO first off the idea behind this is super cheesy, we have a bunch of people going to pick up the dogs they adopted only to find out that a disgruntled employee assigned adoptions to multiple people for each pet. Our two love interests are both assigned the same dog and neither are willing to give them up so they come to the agreement to co-adopt. In the process they learn more about each other and sparks fly. It is a silly set up, BUT I had a great time and ended up really enjoying it.

It was cute and corny with a little bit of spice. I'll definitely read more by this author

Reluctant dog co-parents to lovers is my new favorite trope.

This was really cute but the ending felt kind of abrupt.

Short, but cute. Wouldn't have minded things being slightly more flushed out.

I loved this novella, no notes! Definitely a good listen, the narrators were great. And the story was fantastic. I haven't read many of Rebekah Weatherspoon's books yet, but this confirms I'll have to keep seeking them out.
