I've been following this guy on X (Twitter) for a while without thinking about him being an author. Out of the blue due to a discussion on said platform he asked if I would like a copy of this book. I would be stupid to say no. Force No One by Daniel Charles Ross is an action and suspense filled thriller set in Detroit and I will most certainly read the second book in this series. It's a wild bunch of characters and the plot is a good one. I wondered for a while who would be the good guy and how this story would evolve and I was pleasantly surprised. It was not at all what I had imagined and I love it when an author surprises me. I will recommend that you try his books.

I liked the concept of this book, but found some of the storyline didn’t quite flow for me. Various different American forces join to foil a terrorist plot in Detroit. Police, FBI, CIA and the Army all play a part in unraveling a plot to decimate the opening game of the World Series. The individual characters were interesting, but I would rather have more in depth knowledge of less characters. I assume this book was setting the scene for further books in this series and some things may become clearer in them. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Voracious Readers Only.
