Devney Perry was a 'new to me' author, Tattered book 1 of the Lark Cove Series was the first of her books I read and loved. Timid is the second book in the Lark Cove Series and the second book of hers that I have fell in love with.

I was told by a couple book buddies that Timid was their favourite from the series, and I can completely understand why. I knew from the little glimpse of Willa and Jackson we get from Tattered that I was going to love their story. Sure enough it did not dissapoint.

Willa is unbelievably adorable and as timid as she is, she has a fire in her that was so enjoyable to read, definitely gives the quote "don't assume the quiet is weak" a true meaning. Jackson with all his flaws was so amazing, and to see him overcome his insecurities was endearing. Together they make such a beautiful couple and their different personalities truly compliment one another.

I loved the short story we are able to download of Hazel and Sheriff Magee was crazy cute and I was so extremely happy to see that Hazel gets her happy ending too.

Overall, I absolutely loved Timid, I do feel that Jackson was let off the hook a couple times too easily, however in saying that, I do love when arguments, disagreements etc are resolved quickly especially when all it really needs when finding a solution to said arguments, is communication, and Devney Perry does this so well and doesnt allow them to drag out. I would highly recommend it if you have not yet picked it up. I cannot wait to read Pipers story now, in Tragic book 3 ♡

I like how Devney put pieces into this story that go between the last story.

Thinking 3.5 ish. Enjoying this series a lot, just was missing something for me. (I’m not sure what it was though) These are the perfect winter easy comfort reads.
