It’s okay. If you’ve read Tattered before this, half the book is catching up to the time line just with these characters. Kinda made it feel like this could have just been a small sub-plot in the first book. The story does evolve into it’s own after, but I wasn’t as invested and just wanted too see where their story would go. Easy, romantic read yes. Where I think some others might push the drama, this female lead just seems more rational instead of emotional. She’s almost too level headed so it’s kinda boring.
If you want easy small town romance, no drama, this is it. For me, meh. Realistically more of a 2.5 star for me but I did finish it and felt it was cute.

I know with the title being Timid I should have expected Willa, our FMC, to BE timid, but I didn’t. Not to the level she was. Willa has a very weak backbone. She is the definition of a doormat. I think she is supposed to come across as girl next door, but it just comes across as no self esteem and zero confidence. Good god at one point she thinks he left to sleep with someone else (he didn’t) and she does nothing! She doesn’t confront him or anything! For weeks! Have some self respect woman!
I like Jackson fine I guess. His insecurities make sense. I understand his reasoning. But ugh, this is a basic man-whore X virgin small town girl book. He isn’t a billionaire though!

Okay well I devoured, this book read so smooth and light I loved every second.
Erin is the sweetest person, and how she goes off on her own and making her own way from her wealthy parents is all the feels. I love that she doesn’t have an ounce of spoiled and is so hardworking!
Remington is the ranch daddy. Yes complete totally daddy. 😮💨
Their hot and cold was flawless and I love the feel of this whole small town and the family and ranch, it was all so sweet. I loved the suspense it had and how Alpha Rem is.

I loved Willa and Jackson!! There story was so perfect. I loved that Willa had him going and kept saying no to dates😂 Jackson was going crazy!! But I also really loved that when he saw the picture of her he immediately needed her! And then when Willa put him in his place and slammed the door in his face😂!!! Love her for that! And his mom 🫷🏼. Nope. That’s all I have to say.
