I found major plot points unrealistic and was annoyed at how the lead character's injuries were either severe or scarcely impacting her action depending on which was convenient in the moment.

I enjoyed the book, but there were some pretty predictable plot pieces. I guessed the the first major plot twist  pretty early on. I personally like the alternative ending more than the given one, as it seemed to fit with the previous story more accurately. I was a bit surprised that no one seemed more aware or worried about the prescription drug use, particularly given the major injuries. Parents generally seemed to be absent despite such significant, and concerning events surrounding the kids.

One star less, as I guessed the first twist.
Some things felt wrong (how long does it take to check fingerprints?), and the police looks bad. Bad without checking, wether all other books take liberties with the time it takes for usual procedures, it may be correct. Not searching for evidence and ultimately throwing some away feels stupid, but "we have a confession, case is closed" may happen more often, when the case load is too big.

Recommended, YA, podcasting, social media, mobile phones, computers etc.
Definitely an author I will look out for, this is the second book I bought and read from her this year.

It was riveting! And I was paying attention to every detail, because the author did an amazing job at weaving everything together.
