grecian's atmosphere was wonderful and i think while i found this a touch long it was really engaging and easy to sink into. i own a hardback copy of this from when i preordered it ages ago, but the audiobook is super lovely—has singing and music!!

This book was SO SLOW. I had to renew my loan 3 times to finish it. Perhaps it’s just the writing style that I didn’t like. But, nothing exciting or interesting or adventurous happened until about half way through, specifically 52% of the way into the book. And then the remainder of the book was spent DRAGGING out the inevitable and took way too long to get to the end. There were too many characters and story lines to keep track off and so many unnecessary details. Cut it in half and it would be a little bit better. Only reason I gave it one star was because it had a nice ending. Just took way too long to get there.
