Weird supernatural western

loved the vibes, loved the narrator, loved the wandering pov

Never quite got into the horror, and there were a lot of names that I will fully admit I didn't keep up with, relied a lot on context to remember people outside of the core group.

Ending was a bit abrupt, but I liked the way most of the development was done through implication. Since I listened to this, it's very likely I just missed some things.

Surprised to find out this has a sequel, might pick it up soon

Love love loved this book. Super fun and unique, unlike anything I’ve ever read. Highly recommend the audiobook while reading. It helped keep everything together in my head because there are a lot of characters and you jump around POVs and timelines a bit. The only thing I will say is it could have been maybe 100 pages shorter, but I think that with pretty much any book over 350 pages lol. That said, I loved it, I really had no idea where this was going or how it was going to end but it was perfect in my opinion.

I personally found this book to remind me of Little Heaven by Nick Cutter a lot, which is great because I loved Little Heaven and had been looking for another book to match it. I found the members of the traveling party to be endearing and now find myself a bit sad to be saying goodbye to them.
