I wanted to like this book more, but the depth this book had to offer just didn't quite "cut it" for me. I think it deserves about 3.5 stars, not just three.

The first third of the book seemed a bit flat to me. I followed both characters Seth and Judah, I understood the setting and the story, but I didn't enjoy them or find them fascinating in any way. I kept hoping for more depth to who they were, what their interests were, their motivations in detail, but didn't get much of that.

What saved me from giving it a lesser star review was the allegory and the character "Yeshuah". As soon as he came into the story, it got a bit more interesting and somewhat powerful in truth of all the dialogue he was given.

Overall, the story was okay, but not terrible. I would recommend it to some people who want a quick read with simple characters, but not to avid readers who love to delve into massive stories and settings.
