Definitely one of those books you can’t put down because the protagonist is such a mess and you can look away from the mess. This book does not pass the bechdel test. It’s all about the men. Writing was pretty good and overall a good beach read.

Crazy stalker Cass can’t help her obsession for love. Fired from her job at Nolan & Wright because of her obsession for coworker and ex-boyfriend Landon, she is forced to take a temp job at another firm Levy & Strong. While there she comes across personal emails between husband and wife - Forest and Annabelle Watts. Their marriage becomes a threesome in Cass’s mind. One that she’s a part of. Only she doesn’t know who they truly are and finds herself in quite a sticky situation.

Fast-paced and compelling, Just One Look will have you flipping the pages guessing at what’s to come. I think this was a fun read.

Generally I’m a fan of stalker stuff, but this was just a bit too tedious. I get that the act of stalking is pretty laborious, but this book takes us along to every mind numbing, obsessive, rabbit hole that the main character goes down. There are some twists and turns, and I was invested enough to finish it, but I don’t think this one was worth the time in the end.

This book is about a young woman who comes across some personal emails at the law firm at which she is working and becomes obsessed by them and their sender. Cassie Woodson is a complicated character that you will pity, fear, and cheer for all at the same time. She becomes obsessed with one of the partners at a law firm at which she is temping and goes to extremes to get what she wants. The books hints at things in her past that have traumatized her and those events are slowly revealed to the reader. I was completely surprised by the ending and loved how things turned out. Cassie is definitely over-the-top in what she does, but I really enjoyed this thriller. Fans of The Perfect Girlfriend by Karen Hamilton will love this book.
