Hmmm. This is a #UnpopularOpinion
The overall premise of a locked in thriller with a chilly atmosphere regarding a group of friends sounded exciting and mysterious. But all I was left with was annoyance and odd features.

I think it’s really cool that the author had included actual, detailed things regarding snowboarding. It was a neat aspect! The atmosphere was done well. But even with that I was not interested in the story nor the characters. The characters derive me nuts and I just didnt care for them. It wasn’t gripping or exciting. After reading so many thrillers, this one was just flat.

i randomly picked this up at my library and it wasn't bad. my only problem was how repeative the book got in both the flashbacks and present plotline. also why was that whole group so gagged over saskia ??? she was horrible to literally all of them.

Whenever I come across a book that is described as a locked room thriller, I'm intrigued. Throw in a “gang getting back together” scenario and my interest increases. Add in being stranded on a mountain during a snowstorm and I am all in! This was a fun read set in the world of competitive snowboarding. A snowboarder goes missing and 10 years later old friends are invited back together because someone thinks that one of them knows the truth about the disappearance. Once they get back together in a remote deserted ski lodge bad things start to happen. Although I had the killer figured out pretty quickly, this was still an enjoyable read. I recommend this book for snowy weekends you just want to stay in the house. In Houston I have to pretend we have snow so I have an excuse to sit by the fire and read all weekend :)

I didn’t like a single character in this book, yet I liked the story. Particularly the ins and outs of semi professional snowboarding and those that will do anything to win.
