There is a point I must make about book series; it is annoying to me when authors re-hash things about characters/events in each book in order to introduce new readers to the story. I find it so repetitive and annoying. If one is silly enough to pick up the 8th book in a series, then you should just wander around lost, or go back and read the beginning of the story. I said what I said. So! The answer to the what was to be done about the weirdness of two grown men obsessing over a 14-year-old annoying girl. Not sure I'm a fan, but so be it. Also the answer to why the 14-year-old's voice had times of sounding so different. This installment of the story left several cliffhangers and though the story is kind of wearing on me, I'll have to read the next one just to (hopefully) find the resolution of them. It has become less of a compelling read for me which is always disappointing in a story in which one has been involved for some time.

I don’t even know how to rate these anymore. This series is so good. This one seems a bit like a filler that will lead into the epic ending. Still enjoyed it. If you are this far though, you just keep reading.
What an amazing book! This series continues to blow my mind. I am so impressed with Karen and her creative, fantastic mind.

Love the series. Love the world that KMM created! Love the characters and the dialogue. Smart writing. And of course Mac and JZB <3! But mostly, in this book, I loved the psychological development of Dani. I appreciated how accurately trauma was depicted. I also really enjoyed the discussions of loss with Mac. It was all psychologically sound (from a therapeutic perspective). I just wish it didn't read like half of a book. And mine ended at 80something%. Quite a cliffhanger!

I swear this whole tension and power play between Ryoden and Jada AKA Dani is SO confusing but I'm here for it anyway. This one wasn't as great as the last book but I did enjoy it. Nothing new really happens besides Mac and Barrons getting it on and fae drama of course but seems like Cruce doesn't like being holed up in the abbey and is being diabolical as usual and Mac's copy Sinsar Dubh has a plan of its own. What a cliffhanger!

Mac just shut up I don't want to know again and again who is hot, it just to much repetition!
I really would love to move over and again not be about Mac and Barrows so much, I thought we will have more back story about the nine, more Ryodan and Jada/Dani and basically the book is 70% Mac.
But I have to say that Karen knows how to hold a story and I could not let go! I am sure to buy the next one.

Mac has some guts and lots of madness to deal with, Ryodan FINALLY showed some emotion which I liked more than Jericho (go figure) and Lor made me laugh. I really want more scenes with him and Jo. I also want to know more about the Nine and if there's going to be any romance between Kasteo and Kat.
The Unselie King go kill himself since we don't even get a glimpse at him and honestly I'd love to read the next book written on ONE TENSE! My English are great but I really can getf rustrated about this.
Please, just please I can't take it anymore with the slow pace!
