Amazing!!!! But only the ending... :(
Not enough Jo, Lor or Kat
Some basic Mac/Barrons.... Mmmm.... Not sure they can go further in their relashionship than books 4 and 5.
Not enough Ryodan/Jada
And what the hell with the sister part!

Like all the books in this series (even Iced, which I ended up LOVing), this book evolved from intricate threads that weaved their way into a beautifully mysterious unfinished tapestry--and I LOVED it for the same reason that I've loved all of them!
I listened to the audiobook and thought Luke Daniels did a wonderful job--different from what we're used to but still wonderful, just the same.
This is, hands down, my favorite series. I'm not a re-reader, but I could read the Fever series over and over again! Bring on Feversong!

So-so is how I feel about this latest Fever series book. I much more prefer Burned and Iced. This one lacked plot that pulled me in, and character development. Yes we see more Mac and Barrons and usually I am very thrilled. Not this time, their interactions lacked. They had mind-blowing sex, and beyond that not much else. At this point in time, I need more interaction between those two beyond sex. And they have it, they got the chemistry and what is needed to totally bring me in....give me more dialog and sharing of thoughts and such besides sex.
Never thought I would say this four books back, but I really like Dani/Jada and the relationship between her and Ryodan. They were the best part of this book, because their interactions are giving the reader more than actual sex. And while we are on the topic of sex....this book seemed to have far more of it within these pages than the others. Maybe not, but it felt that way. Maybe that actually speaks to the lack of plot (there was a plot but it didn't really take form until half way into the book) and character development.
The ending....yeah, the ending got me. I will read the next book.

O M F G!!! To quote Lor, JaysustittyfuckingChrist! — That ending! I have no words. I think it took me a whole five minutes to pick my jaw up off the floor. Why must you do this to us KMM? WHHHYYY!? I need the next book like... Now, dang it.
The first part of this book drove me nuts, because... sheesh, I think Ms. Moning may have jumped the shark there. By the last few chapters, I was enjoying it again.
Thank God we have Mac, Barrons, Dani/Jada and the Nine back in business. This book was such a relief after Iced and Burned. A welcome return to the formula that made me fall in love with these books.
This was by far the most disappointing book in the series thus far. Following Iced and Burned, it was lack luster. I want to like Mac, but I dread reading her chapters. Barron's has lost his sex appeal and become a background character. The fact that they have to converse in their minds is overdone.
Give me more of Jada/Dani. Give me more of Lor. I even long to read about Kat! These characters are far more interesting than Mac will ever be!
