Captures you in the first line, the first page, the first chapter and you have to find out how they got to where they are now. The worst moments are bad for what might happen. Such resilient kids but sad that they had to be so.

Amazing memoir. Truly incredible that the author was able to create such a successful adult life for herself after the abuse and dysfunction she experienced as a child at the hands of her parents.

When I started this book is was very sceptical, but it has been captivating from the very beginning.

Shocking. Even though I am trained in mental health, addiction, and psychology, I can´t get my head over it. As a professional, I´m baffled. As a mother I´m furious.
Well-written book, heart gripping.
