I didn't like the book one, but oh my days, I liked this! I think the characters are well-developed here, which made me more invested in the MC's journey.
To be honest, I have little expectations for book two because of my disappointment in book one, and I'm glad that I still gave it a shot.

I only picked up this book to find out what happened to Vivienne and Jonah so I skimmed through it and found that, yup, good thing I didn't waste time in actually reading this.

For one, I found Vivienne annoyingly self-righteous. Secondly, the backstory of Jonah's childhood was unnecessarily perverted as if it was written for shock value. Thirdly, the stalker angle wasn't kinda moot, just to fill the pages.
Worst of than Chloe getting back with her douchy hubby, was Vivienne insisting on rape play when Jonah couldn't consciously go through it after knowing what had really happened to her.

I really couldn't feel this series.

While I did not like this as much as the first one it's still top tier. I love the way the relationship developed and issues were handled. Could have done without the rehash of everything in the first book in the first 60 or so pages. I do wish we had gotten Jonah's pov though. Things are not perfect wrapped up in a bow. It's we'll continue to work together on our relationship and ourselves with hope for the future. I love that.
