Absolutely loved getting to experience Charlie's HEA. Even if it did take the entire book. Worth it.

Such a fan of these brothers and these characters. Was the perfect summer read.

Definitely felt like reading about summer. The location was still perfection, the characters fully fledged and the love story - sublime.

So nice to return to the lake!

Finding out that Charlie Florek had a book was like finding out heaven is real. How blessed are we to be gifted with more Charlie content?

One Golden Summer is an utter delight. It is emotional and heart wrenching, but it is also beautiful and light. I felt as though I was on the lake with Alice and Charlie, learning how to have fun and be myself alongside them. I felt happy and content and joyous, emotions I’m usually pretty awful at feeling.

I knew right away what Charlie was facing but it didn’t take away from the story or the reveal. If anything, it just helped me prepare my heart for a whole heap of emotion. The reveal itself was quite fast, but it’s probably nice not to dwell on something like that for the sake of all of our sanities.

Alice is a sweet baby angel. I relate to her so much in the ways in which she feels like a complete burden and yet will do anything for the people she loves without a second thought. The safety she finds in Charlie is reminiscent of the love I feel from a select number of my closest friends, and I know someone out there has the ability to give me that freedom wholeheartedly one day.

Carley Fortune is a joy. One Golden Summer is a delight. I am radiating sunshine just thinking about it, and I miss it already.

I’m definitively not a lake person, but time and time again Carley Fortune has me yearning for a lake romance. I thought I loved Sam and Percy, and I do, but I identify so much with Alice, and Charlie is almost exactly the type of every irl crush I’ve ever had.

I fell deeply, tenderly, blissfully in love with One Golden Summer, just as Alice and Charlie fell in love with each other. Not all good romance books truly make you believe in love, but this one certainly did. I want every piece of what Alice and Charlie have.

As Alice’s grandma recites and I have come to believe too, “good things happen at the lake.”

I always have this fear that sequels or spin offs will be a disappointment. That nothing will quite live up to the love I had for the first. But that wasn’t the case here! I devoured this book. And while I thought I could never love anyone as much as Sam and Percy, I love Charlie and Alice just as much! I always look forward to summers with Carley Fortune. She will always be an auto buy author for me!

Had no expectations for this book but I absolutely loved it. It made me want to be at a lake the whole time and just made me so much more excited for summer.

These characters falling in love felt really believable to me and I was rooting for them the whole way. I related so much to Alice and I adored Charlie. They both bring out the best in each other. Their dynamic was just so fun to read, and they supported each other so much.
