Dylan Moore spent his life devoted to his music but with one accident all his music died. He was only able to find it again in Grace Cheval but know he has to devise a plan to get her to stay.

I always love a good governess/lord story, this one was a bit of a twist though. I though Dylan to be very jovial although lacking in the personal character traits I find instantly attractive. Grace was fun to read with her remarkable aptitude for taking care so Isabel.

Everything I want my romances to be. Loved both the hero and heroine in this book. No ridiculous misunderstandings or crazy roadblocks, just two interesting characters finding their way to one another. This book is very sexy, but there is no sex beyond kissing until close to page 300. Excellent brain candy.

Downgraded from 3 stars to 1 star. I don't support zionists. See here.

This is actually a very well written story with well rounded characters. I found it a bit slow and I wasn't as invested in the couple as I was in the first book, Guilty Pleasures. The story was predictable and the romance was just okay.

This is a fantastic book for those who are just getting started in the HR genre, but I've read so many similar stories like this one that it kind of just went over my head. This obviously has everything to do with me and nothing to do with LLG's writing because she's a fantastic writer. For instance, I have no musical ability whatsoever, but LLG did a great job with writing the musical aspect of the story. I never found myself bored with it and I was able to understand Dylan through his music.

I plan on continuing this series. I am curious about the Hammonds and I love Sir Ian.

I'll give it 3.5 stars. It was good but not as good as the first one,

I'm just so disappointed. The first book in this series so well done, and then one was just bleh.

First, I didn't really like Dylan. He was introduced in the first book, so I knew the second book was going to center on him, and I wasn't really impressed with him from the beginning. He's just not a really interesting character. I do like the fact that he's a musician dealing with tinnitus, but other than that, he's just a playboy. And not a loveable one.

And Grace? She's just kind of there. For some reason, her artist first husband and Dylan both think she is their muse and they need her to create their art. It's just weird that two guys would feel the same way about this woman. There isn't any substance to her besides the fact that she's apparently beautiful.

So the characters are duds, how about the story?
I have to say that in general I really dislike when a child is used to move a romance along, so I wasn't happy about the introduction of Isobel nor the use of Grace as her governess. Perhaps if Grace had just agreed to being Dylan's mistress from the beginning, their story could have been an interesting romance. But unfortunately, Grace just becomes the governess, and for reasons that are not really clear, she doesn't sleep with Dylan, until one night she suddenly decides that she wants to. Nothing changes in their relationship to indicate why she's changed her mind, but she does.

So they get together, are happily boinking for about a week, and then Dylan gets jealous over some paintings that show how much Grace loved her first husband, and he sends her away. But don't worry they get back together. It was just nonsensical drama.

What a shame. Guilty Pleasures was so good, and this was a let down.
