(Listened on Audible).
I just love the heart in these books. Backman writes simply and allows his readers to think deeply from his suppositions - the structure of the story, the constant unknowns and red herrings, push the reader to think about what each possible outcome might mean for the humanity of a community. It was heart wrenching and lovely. Ireland is a very talented narrator and made this a true pleasure to listen to.

My rating system:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Would recommend, would re-read, will remember. (Something about this book will stick with me forever!)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Would recommend, might re-read, might remember some major plot points. (I really enjoyed this book for what it was.)
⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Might recommend, won’t re-read, won’t remember. (This book had its moments, but it didn’t stack up against my favorites.)
⭐️⭐️ - Wouldn’t recommend, considered not finishing. (The characters, events, or writing style in this book were not for me.)
⭐️ - Did not finish. (My time is limited and this book was too.)

Not as good as the original Beartown but still enjoyable! I didn’t care about all the plot lines as much. To me, the third half of this is where the feels really start.

Beartown against the rest!
I can't put into words the quality of this book. Just let me know when you read it. I'm waiting.
