This is a fun little story that continues the work of Mr. Black in the universe of the Kirkwood Scott Chronicles, even though it does not feature Kirkwood Scott, himself. It's even short for a "novella," but I did enjoy the story. I like Stephen Black's writing style. It keeps me interested, and it didn't ever seem trite or "cheesy" to me.

The characters are likable (well, except for the villain, of course), and I find it easy to be interested in their lives. I don't know how much struggle he has to put into his work, but he makes it look easy.

It is even easy to understand what is driving the villain in this tale.

The ending was a little strange, though. I will say that. And, having not yet started the next book, I don't know for sure whether it is setting the scene for the next book, A New Jerusalem. I guess I need to find out.

And things went boom!

Stephen Black steps up and bats one out of the park. Bomb. Girl is the most exciting book. It starts fast and gallops to an amazing end.
