I have read many of Lisa Gardner's books and I always have high expectations. This is one of her earlier works, but very well done. This is not part of the two series she writes (DD Warren and the Quincy/Rainie), but a very good stand alone thriller.

Take three women that have gone through the worst experience a woman can have... being raped. As you start to empathize with the women in the story, all plot goes on some interesting twists that I didn't see coming. I don't want to spoil the surprise so I will leave it at that. :)

Overall, I greatly enjoyed the story and thought it was well done.

I loved this book! It started intriguing then slowed down and I was a little skeptical but once things pick up in the back half and you get that hint of reveal. wow. Game obn.

I definitely enjoyed this. Gardner always has a way with keeping me super engaged, especially toward the end. I think it’s hard to communicate a sense of urgency in a novel, but she nails it. Maybe this is the way of the real world, but the portrayal of the media was completely abhorrent. Again, not familiar with that world but they sucked so much it seemed unrealistic and took me out of it. The end also wrapped up a little too neatly for me, but I’m rarely opposed to a happily ever after.

If ever a FICTION book captured how a SURVIVOR of crime feels in the aftermath.
