ARC given for an honest review.
All The Feels PR & BLOG

As a blogger I always write fair reviews, that's why we're given arcs right? So again I will give my utmost honest opinion.

I cannot rate this book more than 2.5 stars, it could've been an amazing story if it was done right. I felt like the scenes were choppy and needed so much more information in than we were given. To me it felt like a first draft still.

Moving onto the characters; Thia was naive and I felt like she was trying to be portrayed as strong when in fact she came across as weak and overly emotional. And Mason... how can you romanticise violence? He didn't just have a bad temper, he was volatile and dangerous and I found myself screaming 'no, don't get back with him!' a lot! I understand he was supposed to be losing himself without her but this could have been portrayed SO much better than him beating everyone around him up... and they all just forgave him... just like that, he didn't even apologise to any of them except Thia and as usual she swooned and found it acceptable.

The dialogue... All I'm going to say is that college kids don't talk like that and throwing big words into the book wasn't necessary. It didn't make sense to me that these 18-22 year olds that were partiers and street racers were talking like they did.

Like I said above it could've been an amazing story and I'm frustrated that it wasn't. I felt like there was no need for her to be a 'shaker' (whatever that was) or no need for Holland to be in it at all except for as a friend she could've met at college. Also the bullying thing? That was completely unnecessary and I felt that it was just thrown in there to make the story longer. It was over in a chapter or two and wasn't mentioned again which was pointless. I also felt frustrated that we didn't learn of the dad until we were nearing the end instead of having that as a running theme throughout. However I did like the twist in the story with him in the end!
