I think I went into this book with high expectations as kept hearing amazing things about the series. So while I did enjoy the story I wasn't as in love with the book, as I thought I'd be, which is totally on me.

Ren and Cole's attraction, instant chemistry and steam is off the charts. They definitely match perfectly, their thursday meet ups and slow burn of feelings. Neither being ready for a relationship and still finding themselves together every time.

Still its the chats on dating app that truly made me fall in love with them. Get to know more about each as individuals through those texts then actual on page together. The nicknames, bees and support as they find someone to confide in. My favourite parts were focused around the texts and working together at the market.

Interactions with the rest of the cast were great fun too, I adore Daniel and I am keen to see his story. Although looks to be a few books in and I'm still not sure I'm invested enough to continue the series.

Overall I enjoyed this book for a sweet, steamy and lighthearted read. The ending is lovely and I did like the growth of them as individuals alongside their relationship, as both decided to take a risk and leads to a happy ending

This was the kind of sweet adorable romance that I needed right now. It's fluffy and heart warming in all the best ways. I loved Ren and the Cole. The randomness of connections that kept pulling these two together was just adorable. A whole heap of coincidental meetings that just piled up into a heap of love. Their communications together were just light and funny, especially when they were communicating via the dating app. I loved Ren's side business so much. My father is a bee keeper and has a little side business making honey, candles and other such bee related products. It just made me smile and think of my dad. :)

I needed a light happy read and this fit the bill entirely. I enjoyed the relationship Cole had with all of his business partners. They really cared about each other and I look forward to reading their stories as well.

This is a very light-hearted MM book, no drama or misunderstandings. Ren and Cole were very cute and I loved that they understood one another, it was obvious both of them were willing to put in the work for their relationship to prosper.

It's the book that launched my love affair to K. M. Neuhold. This one is fine, but it sent me down a rabbit hole I still haven't emerged from. I'm hooked.

This book didn’t really work for me. I just read through all the Heathens Ink and Inked books and wanted to read more KM Neuhold so I figured I’d try her newest series. But this was just soooo low angst and no drama and just too easy and blissful for my liking. And there was so much sex. I know that’s to be expected in a KM Neuhold book, but I feel like this was more than usually. I actually just skimmed the last one.

Caulky is the first book in K.M. Neuhold's Four Bears Construction series. The warning in the blurb makes me laugh every time I see it..."this series does NOT contain shifters, it's the OTHER kind of bears." It's a M/M funny, steamy romance containing no cheating or love triangles. It does contain an element of secret online identity. The happily ever after is guaranteed, and it's told from a first person, dual point of view.

Ren needs a rebound after his ex-boyfriend dumped him in the most thoughtless way possible. When he meets Cole at the bar one fateful Thursday night, he's the perfect option for a rebound. Cole doesn't do relationships - he never has, and he never will. The fact that Ren's only looking for a rebound fling is perfect. Until their meetups become a regular weekly occurrence. Ren's afraid of getting his heart broken for the umpteenth time, and Cole's scared that he's not relationship material. What's the worst that can happen here?

“I’m like a wild stallion, baby; I’ve never let anyone come close enough to break me,” I explain with a playful wink.
“I would’ve gone with a bear, but stallion works. Does that mean you’re hung like a horse?” His eyes drop to my crotch, and I nearly snort beer through my nose.

After all the cameos from this fun group of guys in [b:Crankshaft|60393194|Crankshaft (Big Bull Mechanics #1)|K.M. Neuhold|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1651348174l/60393194._SY75_.jpg|95171446], I knew I had to go back and check out the Four Bears Construction series for all of their swoony stories. Once again, I wasn't disappointed. This story was another steamy, funny, low-angst work by K.M. Neuhold that I devoured while on vacation. I love a good found family, and the group from Four Bears Construction fits the bill perfectly.

The playboy that doesn't want to settle down or repeat his hookups can definitely be a bit of an overdone cliché when it comes to romance books, and for the first part of this book it really felt like Cole was skirting that line to the point where he could be incredibly dense and frustrating. However, that doesn't mean him and Ren's hookups weren't hotter than hell because they were. Particularly in Ren's newly renovated bathroom when Cole finished working on it (if you know, you know). I loved watching them both get themselves sorted out, and it was fun watching them discover to their horror and delight that they had feelings for one another. I absolutely loved how supportive Cole was with Ren's business, and it was incredibly sweet watching Ren take care of Cole when he hurt his back on a job site.

Of course, I loved the introduction to the owners of Four Bears Construction and I can't wait to get their stories. Particularly Cole's brother Ollie, who seems to be a hopeless romantic who just keeps falling in love with the wrong guys. As with the other K.M. Neuhold books I've consumed over the past few weeks, it just brought me joy. I would recommend this book and both series mentioned if you're looking for something funny to balance out your heavier reads. I know I'll be keeping these books in my back pocked for those much-needed pick-me-ups.

“Anything,” I promise him, knowing deep in my gut that it’s true. I would do anything to make Ren happy, to take care of him and show him how much I support his dreams. “Always, anything.”

This was certainly different lol.
There was a lot of nsfw content, but I actually liked the characters and it was such a no-bullshit plot without stupid drama that I enjoyed the read.
It was almost calm and the fact that it kinda got you invested in the characters was really surprising. Gotta love free books!

Terrible! But not the worst. 2.5 stars

This was terrible! I should have known probably because I recently hated another book by this author, but I didn’t pay attention to that and thus - terrible. It reeled me in with the pun title, the plot had some potential, but the writing was just horrible. The book desperately needs a good editor to smooth out the prose and rearrange all the mistakes. The writing wasn’t great in general but my biggest issue was the author’s obsession with using words to describe how people said things, while steadfastly avoiding the word “said.”
“Blablabla,” he stated.
“Blablabla,” I explained.
“Blablabla,” he argued.
“Blablabla,” I expostulated.
I mean honestly, you can leave a lot of dialogue alone without “he/she said” or any variation after it (or before). If Ren is getting rawed, you don’t need to tell us he’s groaning out his dialogue - it’s kind of implied. If you do want to describe the fact that they’re speaking, “said” really isn’t the naughty word your middle school English teacher taught you it was!

I did manage to finish this but it took me days (rather than a day as typical) and I had to convince myself to pick it up each time. I’ll never understand how books like this are so highly reviewed, but save yourself the time and brain space. There’s plenty of other manly-profession-fantasy books out there a lot better than this one.
