Sometimes you’re not necessarily there for the plot okay. Haha! But I think overall I enjoyed this one more than Priest. There was a little bit of heavy-handedness with race in one scene, but I appreciated seeing micro-agressions being discussed.

the age gap was personally off putting. i intend to keep series going otherwise this book would’ve been DNF’d. the book reads very cringy and gives off a white savior complex.
