i keep saying this with all of the recent books ive read but i did not have high expectations going into this book. i was hesitant to start it. however, when i did, i fell in love with it so quickly.

maybe it is because it's fast paced. we instantly knew the problem and the characters right away. and with that, i couldn't put the book down.

there was also the case when the male mc, elan, was finally falling for the heroine, caty, he was just utterly sweet and kind and swoon-worthy. and caty? she may be a girlboss and messy but i love reading her pov.

my only problem was the issues of each main characters deserved to be dived into more. it's such a complicated thing but they were wrapped up so fast it didnt feel like it was truly fixed.

nonetheless, i do recommend this to anyone who wants a short romance book!

Nothing warms my heart than reading books from Filipino authors, and boy, this book did not (quite) disappoint. It really felt like a fast-paced turn of events and characters that felt underdeveloped, but their dialogues and little scenes worked for me. I was not hooked from the start, but as I went on, the pages just kept coming at me, and I decided it really was a good story. To describe my experience, everything about this story was an "almost." I can't help but say that it left me suspended in a way. All in all, I will definitely check out more of her books and other Filipino authors as well!

Elan is added to my bookish jowa. Elan and I will live together and make lots of babies. There. That's the review!

Oof don’t read books about long distance relationships when you’re in a long distance relationship 😭💕

I got this book as a blind book date and I’m so happy I did! This is something I probably wouldn’t have found on my own so I was happy to read something different than the popular books I usually go for. This book was light, cute and a pretty easy read! I’m giving it a 3.5 because although I did enjoy it, I thought the plot was a little on the surface and could have dug a little deeper.
