Didn’t know I was picking up a scary book so I wasn’t ready for that but it took at least 100 pages for me to actually feel interested in what was going on. The ending and middle were great though

Not the most original plot but well executed.

More 3.5 maybe. I'm still deciding.

This book was.... interesting. Lol.

It definitely took a turn I wasn't expecting. I didn't think it was a supernatural book but I was very much wrong. I'm ok with that though because I enjoy those types of reads.

I enjoyed it. It thoroughly grossed me out but it was still good. I think the reason for the 3.5 rating is because it was a very slow moving book. I kept putting it down not super pulled into it. But then I got to the last 50 pages or so and I got sucked in. At the end it had SO much packed into it, and even though I found myself enjoying the last several chapters, it just made it really unbalanced. Definitely a slow burn book if you're into that.

DNF before I had to return it to the library - made it about 100 pages. I found the writing a bit trite and ungrounded, like a CW show in a book. Maybe if I had continued on the plot would have gotten better, but it didn’t give me a lot of motivation to keep reading.

I really liked the creepy vibes in the first 200 pages, and it was even better in last portion of the book. The end felt a bit like a predictable action movie with so much happening in a short time and every obstacle ending up being solved, but maybe that's just me. Overall, if you are in the mood for something creepy I recommend it.

I really loved this book. This has moved to my favorite book I’ve read in my adult life. It is very well-written. I was hooked from the beginning and I have to say the twist was unexpected to me. I truly did not even have a single clue as to what I was getting into. The symbolism is very clever too.

When I say I like horror books, THIS is what I mean.

This was a really fun, dark, gothic horror. I loved the main character and how creepy and weird the story got.
