Kaur is a naturally funny writer and there were many moments were I truly laughed out loud during this book. The book was honestly such a joy to read, even though the FMC did annoy me towards the last 10% of the book, this was still a great read

I absolutely ADORED this book! I cried a few times (emotional and good tears) and laughed a lot. Rita and Luke are wonderful characters. I also loved Theo, Noor, and Loren. I would have loved to see more of Sistine, especially the dynamic between her and Luke. I will definitely be reading more of this author's novels!
So cute! Nicely timed slow burn, enough time to know the characters but not overwhelming amounts of repetitious internal dialogue. The growth of Luke and Rita left me with a smile at the end

i think that there were a lot of beautifully written and perfectly covered topics in this book. however it is still a romance book and the romance was lacking!! the MMC is so obviously falling for her but we cant confirm because no dual pov, but shes just giving him nothing. shes running away after what mr.duncan said without ever talking to luke to realize he hates all the things she did too. i do like the way he wrapped up his story and i like that they move back to her community but the steadfast refusal to go back to at least talking to him drove me nuts. and the random "dark" part of this book was useless! no need for the animal party or the fights. this book perfectly covers body positivity, grieving an alive parent, alcohol abuse, the pressure to take care of your family (especially culturally), Punjabi culture was throughout the whole book, this author knows how to WRITE!! i was locked in! but unfortunately the love aspect fell short for me. the book is still beautiful and with a few tweaks i think it would have been a 5 star read
