Saw the tropes for this book and I immediately knew this was going to be a winner for me. I love everything to do with a slow-burn, grumpy x sunshine and forced proximity - with all of that set in Barcelona?? Love it!!
I read this book in a day, and did not want to put it down! There was constantly something going on with these characters but it all flowed with he plot so well. Between the individual journeys of both of these characters the slow burn of their romance spanned the book so well. The tension between Rita and Luke had me hooked.
100% recommended this book if you are in need of a cute romance, that will definitely make you hungry with Rita’s chef skills.

While this story started off slow for me, I ultimately ended up loving it. It's a slow burn (and I mean SLOW) but it is worth it to see the chemistry building between Rita and Luke. Luke, the grumpy billionaire who hates sugar and all yummy foods, is actually a total softie cinnamon roll MMC underneath his gruff exterior, and Rita is the plus-size FMC we all need. She loves her body, her storyline does not resolve around body issues or self-esteem (though she has the occasional doubts, they're not centered around her body) and she's relatable and fun. The topic of alcoholism is addressed in the story but is handled beautifully. I really enjoyed this one! Thank you to @sookhkaur for a copy in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own.

The most delicious kind of grumpy sunshine slow burn anyone could ask to read. A FMC that is bold and curvy makes her so much more relatable. The characters are so endearingly relatable (except for the being a billionaire part) seeing the sad/bad along with the fun and humor made this a lovely and impactful read.

Luke and Rita are a couple that I adored and rooted for so hard! Luke is a billionaire grumpy head of his father's company and Rita is an aspiring chef with a very big heart.
This is a slow burn that was so well done! The way they slowly go from tiptoeing around each other, to starting a tentative friendship, to really becoming good friends, and having a fake relationship to becoming a REAL relationship... It was just super fun.
Rita struggles with a father that's an alcoholic and didn't have a great relationship with. Luke is trying to show that while he does head this huge money making company, he is not like his tyrant father and had a good heart. These two really helped balance each other out.
Both Rita and Luke's best friends are such comic relief and I loved every single scene with them too.

ARC review:
I adored Rita and Luke’s love story! It was so interesting to witness the growth of both characters and seeing them develop feelings for one another romantically. I also loved how the author discussed family trauma and alcoholism with great concern and care. The diversity and representation of different cultures was also great in this book. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who likes billionaire slow-burn romances!
