The first book was MUCH better. This one just reads as a highly commercialized collection of philosophical musings and jokes that have been force-fit into different contexts. It is not easy to teach philosophy via jokes and I commend the efforts but the reader does not leave with a taste for the subject, which was supposed to be the goal to begin with.

More entertaining than educational. But it was entertaining. A light, fun read.

Can you ever have enough Soren Kierkegaard jokes? I think not.

Imagine two 70+ yo men, who once studied philosophy at Harvard, cracking groanworthy jokes while doing a drive by explanation of the history of the philosophy of death. Stir in too many references to quotes by Woody Allen. (One would be too many for me) It was mildly amusing, enough to distract me for a while. I learned a new word, weltschmerz, which I intend to use as often as I can.

I'll give the ebook a shot in the future. Can't quite get invested in the audiobook at the moment. Seems to have a lot less humour than the first book too.
