I really enjoyed this! It felt enough like its own thing, while still being connected to the first book for it not to feel like an unnecessary sequel. The old characters were present without feeling like they stole the spotlight from the new main characters, Maeve, Knox and Phoebe. While reading books with multiple POVs, there usually at least one I like less or that feels a bit boring but it wasn’t the case this time. I also really liked seeing the relationship between these characters and the others around them developing and becoming interconnected throughout the story. The ending definitely surprised and shocked me and I can’t wait to reread it to spot all the clues I missed.
