My cousins and I picked this for our January book club pick. I went into this pretty blind and it was an absolute delight!

THINGS I LOVED
•The “Chance” Meetings: Noelle and Sam meet due to a snowstorm that stops traffic and then go their separate ways. And then they continue to meet. I’ve never really been super into the “soulmates” trope but I loved this one. I loved each chance encounter these two had and how they were able to form a bond through all of these meetings.
•Sam and Noelle: Sam and Noelle were two fun main characters. They had great banter and openness with each other. I really enjoyed watching their relationship develop.
•Charlie and Theo: Charlie and Theo were phenomenal side characters. They were outstanding friends to Noelle and I really liked them.

Overall this was a great read. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future.

This is a closed door romance with minimal innuendo and moderate language.

Trigger Warnings: grief, depression, postpartum depression, death of a friend, death of a relative

This isn't like most romance books, you go on a different trip than normal which is refreshing. Some of the charecters really really suck, and these characters are living with real things. They're more flushed out than a stock charecter. It's not always a light read.

Brought together under less-than-ideal circumstances, after spending an evening stranded but enjoying each other's company and conversation, Noelle and Sam go their separate ways. What follows is a series of serendipitous encounters that leave Noelle questioning whether fate is trying to bring them together or she should reunite with her ex-boyfriend. The serious side stories with her friends and family occasionally seemed to be taking up a lot of time, even darkening the mood. However, though somewhat predictable, the additional "coincidental meetings" between Noelle and Sam helped to lighten the mood and made for a fun, sweet story.

I really enjoyed this book. It was so cool to see how interconnected Sam and Noelle’s lives were. Parts of this were pretty light, but I like how the author also included the discussion of grief and guilt in this story. Overall, I would recommend it.
