One Day!
That is how long it took me to read this. And if you ask me it was too long.
This book felt like a cliche after another.
Think of a horror movie. Do you remember that once scene where the protagonist is talking to someone in authority about the monster and the authority refuses to believe it's real?
Yeah they have not one but two characters like this in this book. And even after it is proven without a shadow of a doubt that the protagonist was right, these two still have an antagonistic relationship with him. Why...because drama, I'm pretty sure what the author thought.
What else.
The "hero Jonas" is a bit of a Mary sue. He manages to get not one but two unbelievably gorgeous women. Oh lets talk about that for a moment. His second love interest, Terry, in the first three chapters. "I hate you Jonas, you are a chauvinistic jerk." He was.
Most of the rest of the book....She shows up in a bikini once or twice, no dialog nothing....
Last end of the book all of a sudden she is in love with Jonas, he's still the chauvinistic butt plug but there is literally no scenes or dialog to show this happening. Just it happened.

Meg is the perfect campy, summer book. It’s a fun and fast read that’s great for the beach...if you’re brave enough to get in the water!
Maybe 3.5, because while it had issues, it was very entertaining.
I would have thought it literally impossible to write a book about a giant shark which I did not love, let alone one that says JURASSIC SHARK on the back. A shark biting a t-rex is basically my dream book cover. Unfortunately, I do not love it. I do not even like it. I actively hate it. I shudder when I see it on my shelf, perhaps in some combination of disappointment and an instinctive defense against accidentally picking it up again.
I could probably look past Alten's attitude towards women if his story was vaguely interesting or made any sense or contained any likeable characters or maybe if it was just about sharks fighting dinosaurs and didn't contain any humans. I could definitely look past the stupidity if the author didn't clearly have some serious issues with women. Unfortunately we live in a world where this book is both moronic and sexist, so there it is. I will forever await the giant shark vs. t-rex book of my dreams.

A fun fast paced thrilling book! Great for those who love sharks.
I loved this book! I've always been obsessed with sharks so a modern day book about Megalodon is right up my alley! It definitely kept me on the edge of my seat til the very end!
