I mean, it's JK Rowling, so automatic 1 star deduction, but I borrowed this from the library instead of purchasing for obvious reasons. I debated even leaving a review, but with the quantity that I read, I like to keep track of my opinions on the work.
I won't lie, Strike and Robin have me in a chokehold. These books are fun and the characters are loveable. I can't give it a 4 star because I've already forgotten some of the finer details of the book, but I always enjoy this series.

Den sjunde boken om Cormoran Strike och Robin Ellacott är lika lång som de tidigare (nära 1 000 sidor!), men jag upplever inte samma känsla av att den kunde ha kortats ner med hälften.

I agree with many of the other reviews. That ending!
London-based private investigators Cormoran and Robin are back looking for answers and avoiding their mutual attraction in this latest, leisurely episode when they take on a religious cult.
I like these books on audio; the action is lively but never unclear, ideal for listening to on a long road-trip. If the writing seems at times to repeat details (what happened to Strike's sister, for instance, or the make of the various vehicles), it feels as if the overall dogged pacing of the firm's investigation is reflected in Galbraith's narration. And I feel deeply interested in these characters; it will be a long couple of years until the next one, dang it.

Strike's hairy arse. Didn't read past it. Didn't need to
Rowling has become too fond of her own voice. Long winded content adding nothing to the story. Needs a new editor
