Bloody brilliant. Real page turner. Really thick book but didn’t take me long to power through it. Plot feels complex and fully fleshed out.

OH MY WORD. How does Galbraith do it? I saw a partial interview with Galbraith in which they said they loved creating worlds. And boy, are they good, no GREAT, at creating worlds. First with the magical world in Harry Potter and now this very different world in "present-day" London. I honestly forget these books - their storylines and characters - aren't real and happening in real-time. First a summary, and then more awe.

There is a lot that you can say about this latest Cormoran Strike novel and my first would be that it was way better than Ink Blackheart and the second would be that again it was just too damn long. 947 pages that could have had at least 100 chopped out of it, so much so that with the turn of each new chapter I was hoping that it was from Strike's POV and not Robin's, which became repetitive and almost mundane. Be that as it maybe Galbraith did once again make an exceptionally well put together story in an ending that I didn't see coming and only one part of it that I guessed midway through the book.
One thing I was so relieved about was that Strike was taking better care of himself and his leg, but while he was doing that he was still getting himself in sticky situations with the ladies.
I will definitely be reading the next installment and hope that it will come under 800 pages but will still read it if its 980 pages.

I have never been more excited for an ending in my life than this one.
