Amazing from the start! Robin goes on such a journey and the relationship between her and Strike still simmers underneath.
By far the best of the series, especially the ending. My only complaint is that it’s too long. Still kept my attention the whole time, so I considered giving it 5 stars, but 20 chapters-worth could be removed without sacrificing both the mystery (including the dead end leads and other red herrings in the story) and the main story plot.
This book was a lot. This was the darkest of all the Strike novels so far. This was not just a novel about petty revenge. I will be honest here, I did struggle with one.

Took a while to get through this audiobook but I wanted to savor it. This is the only series I purchase the audiobook. No way I can wait months for it to be available through Libby.
The Running Grave,brutal but in the best way. It had me stressed out and anxious. The ending…my jaw on the floor. Another spectacular book. Seriously cannot wait for the next one.

This book was so good! I think it's my favorite of the series. Man was it long! Over 135 chapters. But I really enjoyed it.
Devoured it. The writing, attention to detail and level of craft is unbeatable. I dragged out reading the last few chapters because I wanted it to keep going. Can’t wait for the next one!
This is a long book! In fact, all of the books in this series are really long, and I really enjoy them. Galbraith (J. K. Rowling) has a real gift for holding interest over lots of pages, both for children and for adults. I recommend them.
