I wanted a nice easy read, while cwtched up as I’m not feeling too well and this was the perfect choice. It’s so easy to read, that I finished it the same day. It is a part of the Disney Villains series, but I don’t see why you couldn’t read this one separate. You would miss some of the back story with the three odd sisters , especially as this jumps timelines. So reading all the previous books in the series, you do get a little more understanding and can enjoy all of the other little things that’s mentioned in this book, that relates to the previous one.
The writing is always easy and enjoyable. This is definitely one of my favourites in the series, possibly because of tangled and you get more of a backstory behind it. This also left me waiting to read the next book about the Odd Sisters, as even though you get glimpses of them in all of the books, it’ll be nice to have one actually centred around them and discover their story.

Its very interesting to view a story you've known your entire life from another perspective. I loved it.
