This is not a “bad book” or poor writing but it really wasn’t for me. Despite having a plot that moved along I was frequently bored, and when I wasn’t bored I was very sad, and when I wasn’t sad/bored I found it typically predictable. I think if you have an interest in eugenics and/or love a slow drama with little payoff this would be for you but I found it upsetting with very little point

This book is so tragic and so wonderful at the same time. I can’t get over the childhood and the pain that this girl had to endure but I’m so thankful she found such a pure love through all of that. It goes to show that people are placed in our life for a reason because I truly believe he kept her going.

An intriguing read I immediately picked up after reading the author’s newest release! This story is heartbreaking but needs to be told. I only took one star off because the ending was wrapped up a little too fast for me.
