This book was such an enjoyable read. Harrison has a lovely way of writing and I like that, even though this is aimed at kids, she didn't sugarcoat things. Because of this, the Widdershins's story felt so real.
I love all three of the sisters so much! They are all so full of character and I can't wait to read more about them (so I'm glad that there are more books). Betty was by far my favourite, even though I have a soft spot for Charlie too.
The storyline felt fresh and creative. I loved that I felt like I knew where something was going, then Harrison would introduce us to something new, and I was left guessing again. Her story writing skills are very impressive! (I'm glad that I bought not only the 1st and 2nd book in this series but also her 13 Treasures series all at once!)

This book is about three sisters that are cursed. They have to find a way to break the curse.
I liked this one . The characters are great, and I love a good curse story.
If you like middlegrade, you should read this.

"Victory favours the valiant."
A Pinch of Magic follows 3 sisters who were each gifted 1 magical item as they attempt to end a family curse.
The concept was interesting, but the prose felt a little stilted to me. Also the ending felt random and didn’t really work for me.

I loved every second of this! If you're a fan of Nevermoor, I think you'll really like this. ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️
Female protagonists. Plot bit lumpy in places. But generally, a good read.
