This was so just so me-coded that it's basically my perfect horror novel: a claustrophobic and dark environment with lots of dead bodies. It also takes place in a shipwreck, which I just absolutely love because I enjoy reading about shipwrecks and I wish they were used more in horror.

I loved the dark atmosphere of this book and how many tense moments there were that left me holding my breath. Definitely a chilling read, but I do like the characters in the story and how they fit together in the team. Not all of the characters are very fleshed out, but I didn't mind that as it reminded me of old found footage horror movies where characters are very trope-y. The ending does kind of come at you abruptly though.

Also is it weird I was disappointed that nobody died? The whole story was very tense, but by the end I was left feeling like maybe the stakes weren't that high to begin with since everybody got off scratch free.
