I loved this book, this reminds me so much of what I loved about the original Percy Jackson books. After the Magnus Chase book, I was super let down, but this renewed my love for Rick.
And Apollo is just a great narrator. I'm glad to see all the familiar faces and I even liked all the new kids. I can't wait to read more.

It’s been a little over a year and half now since I decided to catch up on my childhood and finally rad Rick Riordan’s books and throw myself into the world of Percy Jackson. I finished The Heroes of Olympus series in April and I was so so sad. I finally had enough money to buy myself the audiobook of The Hidden Oracle and I loved this book so so much!

I love Apollo, probably more than most Rick Riordan characters; he’s quickly becoming a new favourite. If only for the *gasp* “she’s a communist” line, this book is also one of my favourite from this world and I had a lot of fun reading it. I would definitely recommend picking this up!

Narrator for this one was excellent, and I swear, Riordan writes the best snarky teenage boy characters, even when those teenage boys are actually several thousand years old. ;) Excited for the developments in the last couple of chapters to play out in the next book.

4.5 Funny. Vain Apollo is cast to Earth from Olympus by Zeus in punishment. He finds himself in a mortal body of an acne faced awkard 16 yr old. During this installment, Apollo begins to learn humility and empathy as he teams up with some of his children at Camp Half Blood. Percy Jackson makes an appearance and for fans of that series, this won't disappoint.

there's nothing wrong with it, i just struggle with riordan's writing style and humor (i always have) and i can never tell if i care about the characters or not. i'm open to continuing with this series, however, maybe, we'll see.
