I read this for a book club so it's a bit boring than my usual foray into dragons/magic/adventure/epic battles.
That being said, I listened to it on audiobook and the narrator is ADORABLE. It made the Australian lingo/dialogue so much more authentic. I chuckled out loud a few times. The book is well written and there are some interesting questions about life/relationships/priorities. I also liked the pacing of the book, with the big reveals/events not necessarily happening right at the end.

In short: I hate everyone. These characters are going through awful losses and betrayals that should endear me to them, but that’s not happening. I realize it’s not a mystery, but I fairly certain of the primary “reveal”, which lessens my incentive to keep reading even more.
Great book. Lots of twists and turns. The epilogue was pretty good

I agree with the reviews that the women in the book were mostly unlikeable. I also thought that that’s what made it interesting.
