This book quickly became impossible to put down. Crazy.
4.5 stars. I haven’t stayed up late to finish a book in a while and after a reading slump this was refreshing. I was hooked from the beginning and absolutely loved it. The writers voice was honest and funny and the characters were wholly real and relatable. I docked half a point because I felt like some of the end decisions were baffling to me (doesn’t mean they were bad I just felt like I wouldn’t have done the same thing in their situation).

In terms of enjoyment of Moriarty’s work, I’d sandwich this right in between Big Little Lies and Apples Never Fall. I found the plot wonderfully placed, and three narrators allowed for each woman to feel fleshed out. While on the whole the story does feel formulaic, the characters really move this forward, and an expertly navigated twist I didn’t see coming (but looking back I SO should have) leaves me feeling quite satisfied overall as a reader.
