Not usually one for nonfiction, I was hesitant to start this one (regardless of the hype). I was amazingly surprised. Great pacing and held my interest. It was a story I had never heard before which is always a bonus. Not disappointed and devoured it in one sitting.

What a fascinating true story! The boys of the Churchill Club refused to just go along and accept things as they were. They were willing to risk their freedom - and quite possibly, their lives - to resist. These teenage boys have a lot to teach us about standing up for what we believe in.

Fascinating bit of history in this group of Danish teens who were the first to resist the German occupation and became an inspiration. Switching between narration and Knud's own voice was a bit distracting to me.

A riveting nonfiction thriller about a group of teen schoolboys who challenge the German occupation of Denmark in World War II. See my full review here.

Despite being a book for Junior/Young Adult reading, very informative.

The boys in this story are amazing. They risked so much because they loved their country and wanted people to stand up and fight for what was there's. No matter your age you can change the world and these boys proved that.

This was a very readable and interesting account about the middle school and high school boys who sparked the Danish Resistance Movement during WWII. I am always looking for interesting stories that will keep my students hooked to their lessons. They will be riveted.
