Tematika priče je vrlo uznemirujuća, a koliko sam do sad uspela da saznam o Džojs, žena veoma voli da teroriše svoje likove (posebno žene). Nije baš my cup of tea, ali skidam kapu za to kako maestralno piše i vodi radnju. Iako vas podilazi jeza od njenih rečenica, ne možete a da se ne divite njenom talentu.

A short, short story that I found the link for in a Facebook book discussion group. It seemed interesting so I read it on a break at work and honestly not sure what to make of it. It’s very subjective but I appreciate the discussion around it.

A reread for me, and genuinely more terrifying and dreadful than anything I've read from Stephen King so far.

This is a very well written short story. Everything is pretty vague and this is exactly what makes the story end in such an unsettling and tense realization: the author doesn't have to tell you what happens next because your brain, with all it has seen, read, heard and experienced, fills it in for you.

Well written, yet a bit too noir for me.
