This was short and sweet! The characters were adorable apart and even better together!

Merged review:

I loved getting to see Jane and Ewan’s story! Ewan was so sweet and patient with Jane. He didn’t push her and ultimately would have let her go if he needed to. Jane’s love for her mother and desire to do right by her Father’s memory was sweet. This book showcased many kinds of love including friendship, love for family and romantic love. A really sweet read and a great intro to Sensibly Wed, which I loved as well!

Sweet historical romance novella. The characters were well developed and it sets up the series well. And who doesn’t love a Scottish accent? Can’t wait for Felicity’s story!

Last 10 pages are a preview to book 2–which is also very good! This was the perfect snack to whet my appetite for Kasey Stockton romance.

A Novella that introduces the reader to characters in Mrs. Stocktons Bradwell Brothers series. An excellent Regency read that’s clean and has only a little kissing. I enjoyed reading Jane and Ewan’s story and am looking forward to reading Felicity’s and learning how she got herself into her predicament. I’m also hoping that we learn what the book was called that Mr. Bradwell loaned her.

This was my first time reading a story by Mrs. Stockton. This is a series I plan on continuing as she has me invested in these characters. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a clean read or a good piece of historical romance.

I have loved reading the series about the Bradwell brothers so to get an extra novella to go with was a treat. I am a sucker for Scottish stories so having Ewan calling Jane lass already had me swooning. At first I didn't know how everyone was connected but soon realized that Jane is the cousin to Felicity that the first book is about.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who want a quick read and a great love story.

First book I've read by her and I loved it! Moving on to the next book in the series.

Short and sweet, friends to lovers novella. I enjoyed the simple and sweet romance between Jane and Ewan. I loved the Scottish brogue and him fighting for Jane’s affections. I also enjoyed the romance of the side, secondary relationship but that is a spoiler.

LOOOOOVED.

This is how you do it folks. This is how you write a beautiful and swoony novella. I’m so happy I circled back to reading this because it did not disappoint in the slightest.

The connection between Jane and Ewan was amazing. I felt like I had known them already. Ewan is full of absolute SWOON and had many quotable lines that left me in a puddle. I enjoyed the story and pacing worked perfectly.

There’s great characters, romance, family moments and more. I thought it set the stage really well for the rest of the series (I’ve read all but the last). Don’t skip out on this one!!

Overall audience notes:
- Regency Romance Novella
- Language: none
- Romance: kisses
