A quick and enjoyable read. This is still a good novella despite the overuse of the misunderstanding trope in romance books. With a curvy MC and both MCs being Black it was full of rep.

Narrator Rating: 3.0 stars
The narrator did a decent job, but nothing special.

Notes: The 4th in the "The Improbable Meet-Cute" novella series (6 stand-alone novellas released around Valentine's Day 2024), I liked this one well enough. I think some stories are well suited to novellas, but this one felt like it had so much potential to be a longer novel and have the relationships and characters explored more fully.

Cute story. Daisy's laughter and smiles were contagious. I'll be looking for more from this author.

Plenty cute, but I felt like it moved way too fast towards the end—also the cluelessness of the main character felt a bit extreme. Probably my least favorite of this collection so far, but the pastry descriptions did sound incredible so it honestly might be worth the read for that alone.
