Writing was first draft level and the twist was so obvious I saw it coming the second Theo talked about her. I honestly can't believe this has been recommended to me as much as it has.
Loved this thriller. Nice change of pace and liked the plot twist at the end.
The first 70% of this book I wanted to rate 3/5 stars. By the end, my jaw was on the floor. 10 stars. Therefore, I settled on 4/5.
The full circle of how this book came together at the end absolutely blew my mind. Multiple times, I was guessing who the culprit was only to have to rethink and rethink. Then to still be wrong at the end. Everything made sense. It feels like one of those shows where you want to go back and watch the whole thing again since you now know how it ends. Needless to say, I’m impressed. I will be reading more from AM.
I hate how many questions I was left with. I need more answers on the timeline? Did Alicia suspect Gabriel’s late nights to be anything more than working late? What else was Gabriel up to? The late night visit to the warehouse and phone calls? Other women? I feel like Gabriel needs his own story.
