Alec's Dream
Gemini Group, Book 4
By: Riley Edwards
Narrated by: Joe Arden, Erin Mallon

Every one of these Gemini Group series books is fabulous! I am loving a binge listen to each one! Alec's story is so good. Maybe it's because I love romantic suspense. Or it could be the way Alec is with Macy. Or the fact that he is amazing with children and is swoony when it comes to his daughter. Or it could be the entire team who always is there, having the back of each of the "family"! Yes, it is a culmination of all these things wrapped up into an amazing story. Macy is beginning to settle down, struggling to stay afloat, and keep her kids fed and housed. Her abusive ex is a gambler, and he has a problem letting her go. After all, she is a source he can tap for additional funds. At least that is what his loan sharks think. Alec is taken with Macy. She is amazing with his baby, Jocelyne's care and there is something that draws him to her. Now in danger, he is staking his claim, not only of her but of her kids too. But is it too late? Will he keep his family safe? Give this a listen. The action is nonstop and the chemistry hot! Loved this story!

Joe Arden and Erin Mallon continue their fabulous narration of this series. I love that they keep the same voices for characters from book to book and make us, the listener feel like we are part of their community! A wonderful, exciting performance.

Fantastic book

Riley Edwards never has a bad story and Alex's Dream will take you on a wild ride. Alec and Maya will do everything possible to protect their families together from her husband.

Macy Spenser is finally rebuilding her life with her two children, her new job at the day care center and a little girl who loves snuggles. But when her ex-hubby starts threatening her children Alec Hall with make sure they are all safe especially when the bookie beats her up will she finally accept Alec's and the Gemini Group's protection?

Alec Hall has learned how to be a Dad to Joss with the help of his friends and a lot of trial and error. But when he sees that Macy's ex is hurting not only her but the kids he won't hesitate to step up and offer help. When Macy declines he knows that she's one strong and protective mom to her family but when too many threats occur will she accept help and maybe Alec's love?

I liked this one!

This story was, in my opinion, a little longer than it needed to be. I really liked it, overall, though!

Unbelievably fantastic!

Riley Edwards did it again. I couldn’t put it down. I would give Alec’s Dream 10* it was that good. It made me smile, laugh and cry. It also had a great deal of suspense.

I really really hate it when I have spent a bunch of time typing a review that was concise, cute, funny in places, and sincere, and the website signs me out, and I lose all that work. If you allow us to sign in with Facebook, let's be sure it works, 'kay? This is why I could not be an author. If I was on the inspiration train and pouring my soul into characters and lost work, I would lose my mind. Now it's just trying to recreate my masterpiece review. Sigh.

So, I'm reading Alec's Dream, and I think this guy is so noble, he's so good, he's like a knight in shining armor. Wait. What's another word for a knight? So I head to synonym.com (yeah, I do nerdy stuff like that. I want to know all the words) and find the word paladin. A paladin was noble - check Alec is noble. Champion of a cause - check - that cause here has a name, Macy. He's heroic, yes definitely. And chivalrous, he's so very gallant and brave. Now, I will interject he's not perfect. The honest introspection of his past behavior and the repercussions of that behavior are impressively genuine. Our actions have a ripple effect.

Alec's Dream is Riley Edwards' fourth installment in the Gemini Group series, and while I have enjoyed all her heroes, I do believe Alec is my favorite. We have Nixon, the hero who has returned home to find his match in McKenna. There's Jameson, our dark, broody guy with a heart of gold who finds his light in Kennedy. Super duper nice guy Weston who finds the buried treasure in Silver. (yeah I did that play on words) Now we have Alec, and he is just a hero. He's a hero to the family that needs him. He's a hero to a little girl he didn't even know existed. He's a dream come true to Macy. Yeah, he's a paladin. Please give him a steed and some armor; he's that guy.

Every time I read one of Riley's novels, I think, wow, she's done it to me again. She writes emotions (deep emotions) that make your heart twist without leaving you in the land of angst. That is a delicate balance, and this book was no different. The feels were real. I so enjoyed this installment in the series and can't wait until we get the next story. I doubt he will be a paladin of Alec's caliber, but I'm sure Riley will create a uniquely swoon-worthy character for me to enjoy.

A real humdinger of a read... no real let up from the start. Macy was a little irritating at the start, but I get why that was. Liked Alec... a lot... really, a lot. Yep. Alec...

Kind of want Jonny's story now.

Needed a re-read of this... stand by all my thoughts. Totally. And completely need a story for Jonny. But I am looking forward to Chasin's story!!

Re-readathon at the moment. Love this... everything about it. Still stick by my original thoughts. And so odd... I had created a huge epilogue for Alec & Macy and all their kids... weird!!

24/08/21 So odd, I've the exact same thing with the 'epilogue' again! Love this one. Love Alec & Macy & Caleb & Rory & Jossy too!
