Occasionally insightful dialogue broken up by some of the most vile misogyny, racism, and homophobia I’ve had the displeasure of reading in a while. It is an interesting book, but there are many other works which treat with this trope much better than this, and without prejudice.

I started this and left it on a plane. i got about half way. i can't bring myself to buy it to start again. What i read was an interesting story but i couldn't get past the heinous sexism. it was so distracting from what i've always been told was a great book.

DID NOT FINISH

Not much science fiction and more religious fiction. It's supposed to be futuristic. But, has lots of chauvinistic views. Could not finish it and read the summary on Wikipedia. I don't abandon books easily.
