4.25⭐️ you know what, we’ll take it!!!!! a win is a win
Riley Sager is very hit or miss for me, but he is the author of two of my all-time favorite thrillers (and it’s not even close) so I will always give him the benefit of the doubt in the hopes that he’ll deliver again

This was absolutely fantastic I wish they made it into a movie. I love haunted house horrors, my favourite type of horror. I’ll be honest the main reason why I couldn’t give the book 5 stars is the main character, I just disliked her too much sometimes (mostly her reactions to every time someone told her the truth). Other than that, I read it in 2 days so yeah, loved it.
what a fucking wild ride this was folks.
i haven’t really read too many thrillers to figure out little tropes i like or don’t like but i am a sucker for spooky haunted house vibes. like looking over your shoulder when taking that 2am pee break and checking that no one is behind the shower curtain type stuff.
the last quarter of this book was W I L D, my neck was about to break from all the spinning my head was doing. i loved how all the pieces of the story fit together in the end (even tho at one point i swore i knew what was going to happen) *spoiler: i had nooooooo fucking clue*
if you wanna be spooked and afraid to pee in the middle of the night, this book is for you!

10/10. Would scream through it again. Just like I did when I turned the my light out and looked over to see the book cover glows in the dark. This whole book freaked me way out and I can’t recommend it enough.
It was good, but as a fan of horror and the paranormal, I'm always disappointed when the ending is a rational

Very good book, loved the chapters from the "House of Horrors" book interspersed with the daughter remembering or learning about how it happened. Pieced together some of the ending but didn't see the full explanation coming.
